Holiday in St John

St John Beaches

St John Beaches

The beaches of St Johns are in a league all of their own. The white sand stretches out subtly into the clear, warm sapphire water of the Caribbean Sea…be it windsurfing, snorkelling, diving, swimming, sailing, or volleyball, St John's beaches has something for every traveller. All of the beaches on St John are public beaches and no matter which beach you choose, you will not be disappointed.

The most photographed beach on St John is Trunk Bay. The waters are calm and perfect for swimming. Some of the best snorkelling in St John is in Trunk Bay with an underwater snorkelling trail to follow. The downside to Trunk Bay is that it is the only beach on St John with an admission fee, and it tends to be very busy during peak season.

On the Lind Point Hiking Trail is Honeymoon Bay. Often considered an out of the way little beach, Honeymoon Bay’s beautiful wind sand and gentle water provide a lovely tranquil setting for those looking for relaxation away from it all. Honeymoon Bay is also popular with charter boats that frequent its shores each morning.

The National Park’s longest beach is Cinnamon Bay. Just under 2 km long this white fine sandy beach offers beach volleyball, windsurfing, kayaking and snorkelling opportunities. If it is shade you are looking for, the beach is lined with tall green palm trees to help you cool down.

Caneel Bay boasts calm crystal water, a shallow sandy beach backed by lush tropical foliage. Visitors of the Caneel Bay Resort love this stretch of beach and it is popular with families also. Small watercrafts such as, wave runners and sailboats are available to rent from beachside vendors.
